Skoda Auto India is set to launch the updated Slavia sedan on October 6, 2026. The facelift marks the first major update for the midsize sedan since its introduction in India around four years ago. Production of the refreshed model has commenced at the company’s Chakan facility in Pune, Maharashtra.
Pre-bookings for the 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift are currently open, with a booking amount of Rs. 15,000. The updated sedan is expected to receive exterior styling revisions, additional features and a new automatic transmission option for the 1.0-litre TSI engine.
Skoda Slavia Facelift: Engine and Transmission Details
The 2026 Skoda Slavia facelift is expected to retain its existing turbo-petrol engine options, with changes primarily focused on the transmission paired with the 1.0-litre TSI unit.
The 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine produces 114 BHP and 178 Nm of torque. It is expected to continue with the existing 6-speed manual gearbox, while the current 6-speed automatic transmission is set to be replaced by a new 8-speed torque converter automatic.
The new automatic gearbox is expected to be the Aisin AQ300 unit, which has also been introduced in the updated Skoda Kushaq.
The 1.5-litre, four-cylinder TSI turbo-petrol engine, which produces 148 BHP and 250 Nm of torque, is expected to continue with the 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. The 6-speed manual option was discontinued in 2024 and is not expected to return with the facelift.
Skoda Slavia Facelift: Design and Feature Updates
The refreshed Slavia is expected to receive styling revisions along with additional equipment. Some of the feature additions are likely to be shared with the updated Skoda Kushaq, which is based on the same platform.
One of the key additions is expected to be a 360-degree camera system, which will provide a view around the vehicle to assist with parking and manoeuvring in tight spaces.
The sedan is also expected to receive a rear-seat massage function, adding a comfort-oriented feature for rear passengers.
