“Romeo Juliet”, starring Harshith and Vishaka Dhiman and directed by Bhargav Macharla, is choosing to break that trend.
Nearly a month ahead of its theatrical release, the makers have revealed the film’s core storyline through a special Story Reveal glimpse, launched by Rebel Star Prabhas.
The video opens on a striking note, with the protagonist approaching a local goon to buy a weapon to kill a girl. The situation then takes an unexpected turn as the conversation shifts to the terminology and dynamics of contemporary relationships.
As the glimpse suggests, “Romeo Juliet” explores how relationships are understood and experienced by the younger generation. The film appears to present a bold take on modern love.
The narrative touches upon modern dating, situationships, social media-driven relationships, breakups and the changing dynamics between couples.
The Story Reveal video has generated attention online for attempting to explore a familiar subject from a considerably different perspective.
Written by Bhargav Macharla and Prashant Ragathi, “Romeo Juliet” has music composed by Gopi Sundar. Abhiraj Nair is the cinematographer, while Yuva Kiran handles the editing.
Sundeep N and Venkateswara Rao Challagulla are producing the film under the Navarasa Entertainments banner.
“Romeo Juliet” is scheduled to hit theatres on October 23, coinciding with Prabhas’ birthday.
