The world champions took an early lead just two minutes into the game, capitalizing on a mistake by Marc Guéhi, with Lamine Yamal scoring the opening goal.
England responded in the 36th minute when Anthony Gordon leveled the score following a brilliant counter-attack led by Jude Bellingham. Just before half-time, Harry Kane headed in a cross from Nico O’Reilly, giving England a 2-1 advantage.
The second half began with a missed opportunity for England when Kane was awarded a penalty after Rodri fouled Bellingham. However, his shot hit the crossbar, denying them a crucial chance to extend their lead. Spain seized the moment in the 60th minute, with substitute Alex Bena scoring from the edge of the box after another mistake from O’Reilly. Mikel Oyarzabal sealed the victory for Spain with a goal in the 74th minute, converting a pass from Bena.
In another exciting match in Prague, Croatia edged out Czechia 2-1. Luka Modric opened the scoring in the second half, but Adam Karabek quickly equalized. Marco Pasalic then scored with a header, securing the win for Croatia.
