Tata Aeris bookings open today, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the first week of Navratri
Tata Motors has launched the new Aeris, with introductory prices starting at Rs 5.29 lakh for petrol manual and Rs 6.29 lakh for iCNG manual variants, ex-showroom. Buyers can choose from five trims — Smart, Pure, Pure+, Creative and Accomplished. Bookings open today, September 25, while deliveries will commence in the first week of Navratri.
Tata Aeris Prices
Tata Aeris has been launched at an introductory starting price of Rs 5.29 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable entry point among its compact sedan rivals. It undercuts the Hyundai Aura, priced from Rs 6 lakh, by Rs 71,000, the Maruti Dzire at Rs 6.31 lakh by Rs 1.02 lakh, and the Honda Amaze at Rs 7.74 lakh by Rs 2.45 lakh. Aeris petrol manual variants range from Rs 5.29 lakh to Rs 8.19 lakh, while iCNG manual variants cost Rs 6.29 lakh to Rs 9.19 lakh — a uniform Rs 1 lakh premium over their petrol counterparts.
Powering the Aeris is a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine, offered with a five-speed manual or AMT gearbox. The iCNG lineup also offers manual and AMT options, with twin-cylinder technology helping improve packaging. Petrol AMT prices start at Rs 6.69 lakh, while iCNG AMT variants begin at Rs 7.69 lakh. Both automatic options are available from the Pure trim onwards and command a Rs 55,000 premium over their corresponding manual variants.
New Design And Cabin
Aeris gets a slim front grille finished in gloss black, flanked by sleek headlamp assemblies. A wide lower air intake, sculpted bumper and contrasting wheel-arch cladding complete the front and side profile. Higher variants add LED headlamps and DRLs, connected LED tail lamps and a dual-tone roof.
Inside, Aeris combines a dual-tone cabin with a floating touchscreen, digital instrument display and front centre armrest on equipped variants. Boot space is at 419 liters, which is the highest in the segment. In addition, Tata Aeris has struts on the side, which does not hinder the luggage storage inside.
Six Airbags Standard, Touchscreen From Pure+
The entry-level Smart variant gets a 5-inch digital instrument cluster, manual AC, tilt steering, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX mounts and six airbags. ABS with EBD and corner stability control, three-point seat belts with reminders for all seats, and connected tail lamps are also included.
Pure adds Bluetooth audio functionality, steering-mounted audio controls, two speakers, all four power windows and a height-adjustable driver’s seat. Electrically adjustable mirrors with turn indicators, rear defogger, central locking and follow-me-home headlamps further expand its equipment list.
Pure+ introduces an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four speakers and an HD reverse parking camera. It also adds rear AC vents, cruise control, a 65W front USB-C charging setup and front and rear armrests. Electronic stability control with traction control, hill hold and tyre pressure monitoring are available from this trim.
Creative Gets 360 Camera, Accomplished Adds Ventilated Seats
Creative upgrades to a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen and a 360-degree camera offering multiple 2D and 3D views. It also offers first in segment features like Blind View Monitor and MultiView Digital Video Recorder. Automatic climate control, LED headlamps and DRLs, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, keyless entry and push-button start are included. Petrol versions also receive 15-inch Diamond Aero alloy wheels.
The range-topping Accomplished adds ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, wireless smartphone charging and a dashcam recorder. Other additions include iRA connectivity with over 35 connected features, LED fog lamps, a rear 65W USB-C charger, adjustable front headrests and a soft-touch front armrest.
Exclusively For Private Buyers, No Fleet Version
Tata has positioned the Aeris exclusively for personal and family use, stating that the sedan will not enter the fleet segment. The company says private buyers account for nearly 65% of the compact sedan market, and the Aeris has been developed around their expectations for styling, comfort and technology. Tata will continue to serve fleet customers through its dedicated Xpres-T brand, with a separate design and product identity.
With its competitive starting price, petrol and CNG choices, and broader convenience package, the Aeris strengthens Tata’s offering in the compact sedan segment. Features such as ventilated seats, surround-view cameras and a dashcam give buyers additional reasons to consider it alongside the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Honda Amaze.
