Indian distance runner Gulveer Singh won the silver medal in the men’s 10,000m final at the 2026 Asian Games, clocking 28:29.38. The result adds another major international medal to Singh’s growing résumé.
He had won the bronze medal at Hangzhou 2023. More recently, Gulveer won silver at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, where he clocked 27:49.78
Singh holds the national 10,000m record with a time of 27:00.22, set in 2025. He also comes into the Asian Games after a strong run of results on the international circuit.
Last year, Singh won the Asian title, underlining his standing among the continent’s leading distance runners. He continued his impressive form at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, where he claimed silver in the 10,000m with a time of 27:49.78.
