Mirabai Chanu World Weightlifting Championship 2025: Tokyo Olympic winner Meerabai Chanu is currently doing wonders in the ongoing World Weightlifting Championship in Norway Ford. In the final, he lifted 199 kg, overtaking China’s contestant. Along with this, Meerabai Chanu won the silver medal in this competition. This is the third medal of Meerabai Chanu at the World Weightlifting Championship. Earlier, she has won the gold medal in 48 kg category in 2017 and the silver medal in 49 kg category in 2022.
Mirabai Chanu’s performance in World Weightlifting Championship 2025
Meerabai Chanu Took a part in the 48 kg category in the World Weightlifting Championship 2025. He lifted 199 kg during this period, before taking 84 in snatch and 115 kg in clean and jerk, finished second. He took a kilogram lead and won the silver medal, leaving behind China’s Thanyathan. At the same time, in this tournament, North Korea’s re -song Gum won the gold medal, lifted a total of 213 kg.

Meerabai Chanu has won three medals in the World Weightlifting Championship for India and reached the third number. Before him, Kunjrani Devi of India won the silver medal in 1989, 1991, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1997 in this competition. Apart from him, Karnam Malleswari won Gold in 1994 and 1995 and bronze medal in 1993 and 1996. Meerabai Chanu is at number three in this list.
