Actress Manasa Varanasi has joined Sharwanand in George Krish, the upcoming Telugu film directed by Sreenu Vaitla. The makers have officially announced her casting, adding another prominent name to a project that has attracted attention since its launch. According to the supplied information, Manasa’s character is expected to have an important role in the story.
The announcement comes after the actress’s recent appearance in Couple Friendly, which was described as a successful release and brought her appreciation for her performance. She will now share screen space with Sharwanand in a film that marks his first collaboration with director Sreenu Vaitla.
Sharwanand and Sreenu Vaitla team up
George Krish has generated interest largely because of the combination of its lead actor and filmmaker. Sharwanand has recently appeared in Nari Nari Naduma Murari and Biker, while Sreenu Vaitla is known for his work in Telugu commercial cinema.
The project was launched with a traditional pooja ceremony. Producer Suresh Babu switched on the camera for the muhurtham shot, while MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav sounded the clapboard. Sreenu Vaitla directed the first shot of the film.
The title and release date were previously unveiled through a colourful poster in August. The movie is scheduled around the Sankranti period, a festival window that has particular significance in Sharwanand’s filmography.

Distributors announced at launch
The makers also announced the worldwide theatrical distribution network on the same day the film was launched, an unusual move for the project.
Asian Suresh Entertainments will handle distribution in Nizam, while Vaasudeva Movie Creations has taken the Vizag territory. Vintage Creations will distribute the film in East, Adithya Films in West, Vyom Cinemas in Krishna, RK Entertainments in Guntur and Abhi Cinemas in Nellore.
For overseas markets, distribution will be handled by VYOM Cinemas and Cinema Paradiso. With Manasa Varanasi now confirmed as the female lead, the cast and production team of George Krish continue to take shape ahead of its theatrical release.
