Sai Dharam Tej, who made a strong comeback to films after undergoing prolonged treatment following a serious bike accident, has recalled the incident on its fifth anniversary. The actor took to social media to thank his family, friends, fans and everyone who supported him during his recovery.
“Five years ago today, I was given a second chance at life, carried through by your prayers, love and unconditional support. I needed every single one of them,” he wrote.
Sai Dharam Tej revealed that he has recovered nearly 90 percent from his injuries, although he is still dealing with a few challenges, including his speech. “I’ve recovered 90% from my injuries. There are still a few things I’m working through, my speech and a few other challenges, but I’m getting there. One day at a time,” he said.
The actor thanked his fans for standing by him throughout his recovery. “And here I am. Five years later. Still standing. Still fighting. Still living,” he wrote.
Sai Dharam Tej also addressed discussions surrounding Syed Abdul Farhan, who helped him immediately after the accident. He clarified that he has already provided financial assistance to Farhan and that Farhan had requested not to be disturbed so that he could focus on his job and family responsibilities.
The actor also responded to people asking about the doctors, ambulance driver and others who helped him. He said he had already thanked everyone who supported and encouraged him during his recovery in his earlier social media posts.
