Vivek Oberoi, whose equation with Salman Khan has often been widely discussed, recently reacted to Salman Khan’s fiery against social media trolling. Recently, Salman took a stand against trolls for body-shaming and age-shaming and criticised them for abusing actors simply because they are not fond of their work. Several celebrities, including Varun Dhawan, Neha Dhupia and filmmaker Rohit Shetty, have backed him for taking a stand against online trolls. Now, actor Vivek Oberoi has also joined the list.
Vivek Oberoi on Salman Khan’s stance against trolls
On Tuesday, arrived at an event organised by the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) to support children battling cancer. In a conversation with Bollywood Chronicle, when the actor was asked about Salman Khan bashing trolls on Bigg Boss 20, he said, “Kuch nahi yaar, mujhe lagta hai trolling wagera karna bhi nahi chahiye. Trolling is a very negative thing, and there are a lot of positive things to do in life kya negative mein padhe ho (Nothing, yaar. I feel people shouldn’t troll others either. Trolling is a very negative thing, and there are so many positive things to do in life. Why get caught up in negativity?).”
What did Salman Khan say?
During a recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20, Salman Khan expressed his frustration over celebrities being criticised for their appearances on social media. The host revealed that he himself had been a target of ,including being called “budha” on social media, while some users also made fun of his new bald look.
Salman also bashed those trolling Katrina Kaif over her post-pregnancy weight gain. He said, “Everyone puts on weight after getting pregnant. When she returns to films, she will get back in shape. She wants to spend time with her family.”
The actor also responded to trolls who had body-shamed him, removing his T-shirt to show off his toned physique. He explained that his bald look was part of his upcoming film and revealed that it was also linked to the recent death of a close friend.

Well, Vivek has previously recalled a tough chapter when his equation with Salman became the topic of widespread public scrutiny. In 2003, the two had a public feud after Vivek, who was then dating Aishwarya Rai, called a press conference accusing Salman had repeately made threatening calls to him. Vivek claimed Salman had called him several times, objecting to his association with Aishwarya, with whom Salman was romantically involved. In 2025, Vivek addressed the whole controversy and said his reaction was immature at the time and said that he had moved ahead, focusing on the brighter side of his life.
