While social media has become an important part of celebrity culture, actress Aishwarya Lekshmi has chosen to stay away from it. She quit Instagram last year, despite the platform being a major source of visibility and brand opportunities for celebrities.
A year later, the actress says she has no plans to return.
In a recent interview, Aishwarya Lekshmi revealed that her PR team and managers had advised her to get back on Instagram, pointing out that staying away from the platform could affect her earnings. However, she chose her peace of mind over the financial benefits.
“My PR team and managers recently urged me to get back on Instagram as my money earning will be less. But I preferred mental peace over money. I have been very peaceful and calm after I quit. I earlier used to be stressed seeing some toxic messages and mindless trolling,” she said.
The actress also reiterated that she does not intend to return to Instagram, saying that stepping away from the platform has helped her stay calmer and more at peace.
On the work front, Aishwarya Lekshmi will next be seen in “Sambarala Yeti Gattu” (SYG), alongside Sai Dharam Tej. The film is gearing up for a Sankranthi 2027 release.
