On Gandhi-Shastri Jayanti 2025, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath bowed to both great personalities in Gorakhpur. The CM announced the indigenous fair before Deepawali, describing the message of indigenous, self -reliant India, cleanliness and Jai Jawan Jai Kisan today.
On the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid homage to both great personalities at a program organized at the residential building at Gorakhnath Temple. After the wreath, he said that the nation can become strong only by following the path of truth, non -violence, indigenous and self -sufficiency.

CM Yogi said that Mahatma Gandhi made the whole world realize the power of non -violence in the freedom movement. For him, indigenous was not just a movement, but the basis for united Indians.
Swadeshi is no longer Khadi, identity of self -reliant India
The Chief Minister said that today indigenous is part of the routine of India. Under the leadership of PM Modi, the dream of self -sufficient India from “chip to ship” is coming true. CM Yogi said that the production of BrahMos missile, AK rifle and bable scott pistol has started in the UP Defense Corridor. The Chief Minister announced that there will be indigenous fairs in every district of the state. There will also be 25% discount on the purchase of Khadi goods.

Artisans associated with Khadi-Shilp will get respect
CM Yogi appealed that people should give indigenous items in gifts on Diwali. This will increase employment and strengthen the economic prosperity of the country.
He said that PM Modi made Gandhiji’s favorite cleanliness campaign a mass movement through Swachh Bharat Mission. So far, women’s dignity has been respected by the construction of 12 crore toilets.
India becomes self -reliant with Jai Jawan Jai Kisan
Recalling Lal Bahadur Shastri, CM Yogi said that his slogan “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan” is equally relevant today. In the 1965 war, India made the world realize its power. In the end, CM Yogi congratulated Vijayadashami and said that the festival is a symbol of unity and harmony in the society. The life of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram is an inspiration for every era.
