Actress Rashami Desai has opened up about her evolving approach to work, saying she is now more disciplined and focused on her craft as she enters a new chapter with the upcoming television show Sayoneee.
Reflecting on her journey, Rashami said her experience over the years has given her greater confidence and an opportunity to improve her work.
“I love my job, I love my journey, and I love when I’m on the set. Of course, I’m more disciplined. I am more focused than before. I feel I have more opportunity to do much, much better because I’m more experienced,” she said.
Rashami also praised her producers Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey, describing them as “amazing” and highlighting their work in television.
“And more importantly, whom I’m working with, my director and my producers Sargun and Ravi, I think they are amazing,” she said.
The actress, who rose to prominence with shows including Uttaran and Dil Se Dil Tak, said working with Sargun and Ravi represented an opportunity to collaborate with “amazing minds” in television production.
Rashami also praised director Uttam Bhelavat, calling him an important part of the show and describing him as its “heartbeat”. She noted that audiences often do not know the people working behind the camera, even though their contribution plays an important role in helping a project connect with the right audience.
Rashami said she felt working with the team behind Sayoneee could prove to be a life-changing experience.
“I felt like working with such amazing minds will be a life-changing moment for me. And I said, I’m game for it. It’s the best, I think so. Good, I waited for long, and, you know, it’s good to be honest to your emotions also, kyunki impulsive decisions I have never taken,” she said.
Sayoneee stars Rashami Desai, Janhavi Soni and Gautam Singh Vig and is scheduled to premiere on September 23 on Star Plus and JioHotstar.
Rashami will play the powerful character of Maya, while Janhavi will portray Saanvi and Gautam Singh Vig will play the new saathi in Saanvi’s life.
