Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its next-generation flagship smartphones in China. The Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will debut on September 23, with the company focusing on camera hardware, display efficiency and large-capacity batteries.
The Pro Max, in particular, appears to be positioned as an ultra-premium flagship with a dual 200MP Leica camera setup and an 8,500mAh battery. Moreover, both phones will also use the upcoming flagship Snapdragon chips launching tomorrow.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Series Price, Availability and Offers
Xiaomi has confirmed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro series will launch in China on September 23 at 7 PM local time or 04:30 pm IST. However, the company has not revealed the pricing of either model yet.
There is also no official information about an India, UAE or global launch. Storage variants, colour options, pricing and launch offers are expected to be announced during the China event. Buyers outside China will have to wait for Xiaomi to confirm wider availability.
Xiaomi 18 Pro Series Specifications and Features
The Xiaomi 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are expected to feature a dual 200MP Leica camera system, comprising a 200MP primary sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. Details such as sensor sizes, optical zoom and video capabilities are yet to be confirmed.
Both smartphones are expected to use a flagship Snapdragon 2nm GAA-based mobile platform, although Xiaomi has not officially revealed the chipset name.
Battery capacity is another major highlight. The Xiaomi 18 Pro will reportedly feature a 7,000mAh battery, while the Pro Max could pack an 8,500mAh unit. Both are expected to use Xiaomi’s GSR VIII silicon-carbon battery technology with 32% silicon content.
The phones will also feature a new-generation Super Pixel display with an M11 light-emitting system. Xiaomi claims the new green light-emitting material can improve brightness while reducing power consumption. The bezels are said to measure just 0.99mm.
Xiaomi is expected to reveal the complete specifications, pricing and availability details at the September 23 launch event.
