The upcoming Telugu film Varanasi is currently under production, and expectations around the project continue to grow with every new update.
Famed writer Vijayendra Prasad recently shared exciting details about the film during a fan interaction.
He revealed that Varanasi will feature a spectacular 30-minute sequence that left him completely spellbound.
According to him, the grand sequence will showcase an epic war between Lord Rama and Kumbhakarna. Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran will be seen playing the antagonist Kumbha in the film.
Director S S Rajamouli had earlier confirmed that Mahesh Babu, who plays the lead role, will appear as Lord Rama for a portion of the film.
Rajamouli also described the filming process as a major challenge, saying every sub-episode in the film felt like a separate movie in itself.
Varanasi also stars Priyanka Chopra as Mandakini. The film is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on April 7, 2027.
