Massive setback for R Ashwin as legendary player goes unsold at ILT20 auction

New Delhi: In what came as a big setback for former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin, the veteran Indian player went unsold at the ILT20 Season 4 player auction on Wednesday. The 37-year-old player, who recently retired from Indian cricket, including the the Indian Premier League (IPL), was placed under the $120,000 (Rs 1.06 crore approx.) price slab in the first-ever auction in the league’s history.

It was surprising that his name did not attract any interest from the franchise and went unsold when his name first came at the auction.
