Nani has been facing criticism for moving away from the content-driven and family-oriented films that established him as an actor and increasingly choosing mass-action stories. In recent years, he has appeared in films such as “Dasara”, “Saripodhaa Sanivaaram” and “The Paradise”. His upcoming film “Bloody Romeo”, directed by Sujeeth, is also said to be in a similar mass-action space.
However, Nani recently told the media that he intends to break this pattern and return to family-oriented stories soon. He had also hinted that he had already locked a film in this space to be made after “Bloody Romeo”.
Now, there is talk in industry circles that Nani may have finalised a project with director Venky Atluri. The filmmaker recently delivered “Lucky Bhaskar” and “Vishwanath And Sons”. According to the buzz, Nani particularly liked “Vishwanath And Sons” and is said to have asked Atluri to come up with a film with universal appeal.
If the reports are accurate, the project is expected to be a family-oriented entertainer, marking a change of zone for Nani after a series of mass-action films.
Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments is also said to be associated with the project as producer, though an official confirmation is awaited.
