Rajeev Shukla Confident of Indias Clean Sweep Against Afghanistan in T20 Series

New Delhi, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : Team India has already clinched the  Afghanistan by winning the first two matches.

Rajeev Shukla, the Vice President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and a Member of Parliament, expressed his optimism that the Indian team will secure victory in the third T20 match as well. The final match of the series is set to take place on Thursday.

Speaking at an event in  on Wednesday, Shukla stated, “The series is going very well. We have already won the series, and we will win the third match too.”

Having already dominated the , the Indian team views the upcoming match as an opportunity to enhance their preparations ahead of the . This encounter will be held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

During the event, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) hosted a dinner for the , where players shared their experiences of playing against Afghanistan and their interactions with Afghan players.

Ishan Kishan remarked, “Playing against Afghanistan is always enjoyable, as many of us have played with them in the IPL. We know how great they are as individuals. There’s always something to learn from them. I played with Nabi bhai in the Mumbai Indians, and he helped me a lot during batting sessions. He frequently shared insights on strategy and planning, especially when facing different bowlers.”

He added, “One of the most impressive qualities of the Afghanistan team is their hunger and determination. Whenever we play against them, you can see their eagerness to take wickets and compete at the highest level.”

Indian opener Abhishek Sharma echoed similar sentiments, stating that playing against Afghanistan offers valuable experience for young players, as they play aggressive cricket.
