There have been several speculations about the possible release date of Megastar Chiranjeevi’s long-in-the-making “Vishwambhara.” One of the latest reports suggested that the makers, having finally locked an OTT deal, may push the film to Sankranthi 2027 and move Chiranjeevi’s “Kaaka” to another date.
However, sources close to the team informed Telugucinema.com that the final decision on the film’s release date will be taken within a week by Chiranjeevi. His decision will be final, and the producers are currently waiting for his call.
“Vishwambhara” is a socio-fantasy film that stars Chiranjeevi in the lead role, with Trisha Krishnan and Ashika Ranganath as the female leads. Popular Bollywood actress Mouni Roy has also performed a special song with Chiranjeevi, marking her Telugu debut.
Directed by Vasishta and produced by Vamsi and Pramod under UV Creations, with Vikram Reddy presenting the film, “Vishwambhara” has been in production for nearly three years.
Until the release date is confirmed, the makers cannot begin their full-fledged promotional campaign. The song released earlier has already faded from public memory, and the film will need a strong promotional push to rebuild buzz once the release date is locked.
