India clinched the 3-match T20I series against Afghanistan after winning the 2nd match by 7 wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
Team India chased down the target of 160 runs in just 14.5 overs to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
With the series already decided, India captain Shreyas Iyer has hinted that some changes could be made for the final 3rd T20I.

After India’s comfortable win, Iyer said that players who have been on the bench could get an opportunity in the final match.
Indian captain said the team wants the players to get familiar with the conditions and gain some match practice.
With the series already in India’s pocket, the 3rd T20I could therefore be an opportunity to test a few players and try a different combination.
Will Vaibhav Sooryavanshi finally get his chance?
One of the biggest questions ahead of the 3rd T20I is whether Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will finally make his India debut on home soil. The 15-year-old batter was not included in India’s playing 11 for either of the first two matches.
India preferred Sanju Samson alongside Abhishek Sharma at the top of the order, while Vaibhav remained on the bench.
However, Iyer’s comments have given fans fresh hope that Vaibhav could be handed his opportunity in the series finale.
A chance against Afghanistan would also give the youngster valuable international experience ahead of India’s upcoming assignments.
Washington Sundar also waiting for opportunity
Vaibhav is not the only player who could come into India’s playing 11. All-rounder Washington Sundar was also part of the squad but did not feature in the first 2 T20Is.
Sundar is returning after an injury layoff and could potentially be given some game time if the team management decides to rotate the squad.
Yash Thakur could also be in mix
New Bowler Yash Thakur is another player waiting for his opportunity. The Vidarbha pacer made his India debut during the Zimbabwe tour and could be considered if India decide to make further changes to their bowling attack.
With the series already won, the final T20I gives India an ideal opportunity to assess players who have not yet featured.
India can experiment in final T20I
India have already achieved their main goal by taking an unbeatable lead in the series. That could allow the team management to experiment with the playing 11 without the pressure of having to win the series.
