Patna: The Election Commission has released the final voter list on Tuesday as soon as Bihar Assembly Elections approaching 2025 close. This list is prepared after special intensive revision – SIR. The Election Commission has uploaded it on its official website. The names of a total of 14 lakh new voters have been added to this list, while the names of about 65 lakh voters have been removed.
Voter list checking process online
Voters can visit the Election Commission website https://voters.eci.gov.in to check their names and details. Select the state “Bihar” by choosing the SIR 2025 link and enter the EPIC number or name. After this you will know whether your name is included in the final voter list.
Cut and new additions
A total of 7.24 crore voters were registered in the draft voter list released earlier. During the SIR process, deceased voters, duplicate entries and wrong address voters were removed. In this process, the names of a total of 3,95,500 voters were removed in Patna district, while 1,63,600 new voters were added to the final list. It is clear from this change that SIR has made the voter list more pure and updated.
