Hyundai is currently preparing the next-gen Creta for the Indian market, and it has been spotted again while testing in Agra. These repeated sightings suggest a launch is likely soon.
Next-Gen Hyundai Creta: Spotted Testing

The latest test mule was wrapped in heavy camouflage from nose to tail, but enough of its silhouette peeked through to suggest a noticeably bigger SUV than the current Creta. Redesigned taillamp elements are visible under the wrap, hinting at a revised rear-end treatment, while a fresh grille and new alloy wheel designs are also expected up front. Beyond that, Hyundai hasn’t given away much else at this stage.
What’s New Expected?

The new-generation Hyundai Creta will sport several changes inside and out. First, the SUV is expected to move to the K3 platform, from the current K2 platform. As with the new Kia Seltos, this should increase the SUV’s overall length. We could also see a new grille, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and revised taillamps. However, the silhouette is expected to remain the same as the outgoing model.
The interiors are also expected to be revamped. While the brand has not yet revealed the exact details of the new features, some spy shots show the SUV sporting a new Pleos infotainment unit. Other features we expect include dual wireless charging, a small digital instrument cluster, a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, level 2+ ADAS, six airbags, and more.
The powertrains are expected to remain the same as the outgoing model. Currently, the Creta packs a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission options include manual, iVT, and DCT gearboxes. Hyundai is also expected to add a new hybrid powertrain to the SUV. With that, it could directly rival other strong-hybrid SUVs like the Maruti Grand Vitara, Victoris, Toyota Hyryder, and more.
As for its launch, the SUV is expected by mid-2027. With a generational update, we expect prices to rise by Rs 70,000 to Rs 1 lakh, depending on the variant.
