Diwali is still weeks away, but the makers of Ramayana have already given fans a reason to feel emotional, and it has nothing to do with battle scenes or special effects. On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi 2026, the makers unveiled a new Ramayana: Part 1 poster featuring Siya Ram.
On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, the team behind Ramayana: Part 1 unveiled a brand-new poster titled Siya Ram, marking the beginning of the film’s musical rollout ahead of its first song, Jai Jai Ram. Sharing the poster, the makers wrote that it celebrates the timeless bond of Siya and Ram, and the image does just that.

Set against a peaceful forest backdrop, the poster shows Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita sitting together by a flowing river, both dressed in traditional attire in warm shades of orange. In the poster’s central moment, Ram is seen gently placing a flower in Sita’s hair as she looks on with a shy smile. The quiet, intimate gesture stands in sharp contrast to the grand battle visuals that fans have shown in the film’s trailer so far. The scene relies entirely on stillness and warmth rather than scale, offering a softer side of the epic before its bigger, more spectacular moments come on screen.
The poster also sets the stage for the film’s first song, Jai Jai Ram, composed by Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman, with lyrics written by poet Dr Kumar Vishwas. The track will be sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, two of the most recognisable voices in Indian playback singing, adding further weight to what is expected to be an emotionally rich musical launch for the film.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana: Part 1 stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana, alongside Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil, Sheeba Chaddha and Kajal Aggarwal in other key roles. The film is being made on a massive scale, with reports pegging its budget at around Rs 4,000 crore, and features music from both AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. Ramayana: Part 1 is set for a worldwide theatrical release this Diwali 2026, with Ramayana: Part 2 slated to follow in 2027.
