The makers of Nitesh Tiwari’s cinematic adaptation of the Ramayana officially kicked off the film’s musical campaign on September 14, 2026, coinciding with the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. The first promotional track, titled “Jai Jai Ram”,  features vocals by playback singers Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, set to a musical composition by Academy Award winner AR Rahman. The release marks the first major musical instalment for the highly anticipated two-part epic fantasy film.

The production team, headed by producer Namit Malhotra under Prime Focus Studios, released the track early Monday morning following the unveiling of the official “Siya Ram” character poster. The poster features lead actors Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita seated together in a quiet forest setting, highlighting their characters’ bond during their exile.

“Jai Jai Ram” is composed by AR Rahman, featuring lyrics penned by poet and lyricist Dr Kumar Vishwas. The track brings together singers Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, combining traditional devotional elements with orchestral arrangements.  The accompanying visual video offers the audience glimpses of the scale of the production, intersplicing character reveals with scenic landscapes of Ancient Ayodhya and forested wilderness.

Ramayana: Part 1 is scheduled for an international theatrical release on November 6, 2026, followed by its domestic release in India on November 8, 2026, to coincide with Diwali festivities.
