Viewers around the world have been lined up online and in person to be the first to watch it on opening day. How to get tickets for The Odyssey IMAX in India
IMAX tickets for The Odyssey go on sale from June 8, 2026, in India. Written and directed by Nolan, The Odyssey has been shot using the brand-new IMAX film technology. Denzil Dias, who is the vice president and managing director of Warner Bros. Discovery India shared that Indian viewers will be amongst the first to book their tickets for The Odyssey along with other Christopher Nolan fans around the world.
IMAX India announces advance bookings
Internationally, The Odyssey will be available to audiences in various IMAX formats. It will be released in IMAX 70mm film, IMAX digital/laser, and standard 70mm film and 35mm film and digital large format. AMC, which owns the most IMAX screens in the US, opened up its advance booking. Some fans reported a one-hour waiting time before they could purchase tickets; AMC‘s ticketing app had to be paused briefly because the demand was so high.

The Odyssey is said to be Nolan’s most expensive film at an estimated budget of $250 million, mainly because it was entirely shot with IMAX cameras. Nolan recently revealed that The Batman star Pattinson was the only actor who asked to read a script for the feature. The rest of the cast said yes to Nolan without seeing the screenplay.
