New Delhi: transfer target Lewis Hall has signed a new long-term contract at Newcastle, the club have confirmed on September 11. He was the Red Devils’ main target in the left-back position during the summer window.
There were no official bids lodged from Manchester United, but Newcastle were prepared for more speculation in the winter.
But Hall has now signed a new contract with the club. Newcastle United have announced that the contract is for the ‘long term,’ but according to reports it is until 2031. The 21-year-old’s previous deal ran until the end of 2029.

After signing the new contract, Hall said that it is a really proud moment for him and it is an absolute pleasure to play for Newcastle United.
‘I’m absolutely delighted. It’s a really proud moment. It’s an absolute pleasure to play for this club and to represent the supporters. I know how much it means to them,’ Hall said.
‘The fanbase and the support we get here, whether it’s at St. James’ Park or away, it’s the best in the league in my opinion. To be able to bring joy to their faces, it’s a big thing for me,’ he added.
Hall further said he has a family connection with the club, which is important for them, and one of the main reasons he play to make his family proud. The left-back further added he knows how much it means for his family to watch him play for Newcastle United.
‘It’s a really good place to be. It’s really pleasing with how we’ve started the season, especially with the new Gaffer and coaching staff coming in, and I think we can go on to achieve really big things,’ Hall said.
Hall’s new deal comes after a busy summer at Newcastle, with Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon among the stars to have left the club.
