Orry Says Glamorous Life Doesn’t Mean You’ve Never Faced Hardship

Social media influencer Orry has opened up about the struggles behind his glamorous public image, saying people often assume that those who appear to lead luxurious lives have never experienced hardship.

Orry, who was recently eliminated from the stunt-based reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, shared a lengthy note on Instagram on Tuesday, addressing the show’s host and filmmaker Rohit Shetty.

He said people largely know him as someone who is “always at a party, always with celebrities, always extremely opulently glamorous” and someone who “has everything easy”. While acknowledging that the perception is true to some extent, Orry said it does not reflect the challenges and effort behind his life.

According to him, people do not see the “chaos, the struggle, the hustle, the hard work, and the grit” that goes into making things happen.

“People think living a glamorous life means you’ve never faced hardship but one cannot build resilience on fluff. You cannot show such indomitable endurance and unbreakable perseverance if you haven’t already survived some serious shit, you don’t face your fears like this if your life was always easy and smooth sailing,” Orry wrote.

He added, “I pushed to make it this far because I’ve fought through unpretty parts never meant for the feed with nightmares fueling me to prove my grit beyond the grid.”

Reflecting on his experience on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, Orry expressed gratitude for being part of the show and described it as an opportunity to reveal different sides of his personality.

“It has been an honor to participate in a 0 bias show that objectively brings out every single shade of who I actually am. The many many many shiny and sparkly parts as well as dead and damaged ones. Because that is also part of who I am,” he wrote.
