UPI Payment Railway Ticket: Railways have started a new initiative to provide relief from the crowd on festivals. Now passengers will not have to stand in long queues of the counter to get tickets. With the M-UTS machine, the railway personnel will provide tickets on the platform.
As the festive season arrives, the crowd of the crowd at railway stations becomes like a fair. On occasions like Dussehra, Deepawali and Chhath, passengers stand for hours at the counters for tickets. But this time the situation is going to be different. Northern Railway Lucknow Division has taken a new step for the convenience of passengers, which can prove to be rid of the crowd. Now there will be no need to put in the long line of the counter to get tickets, but the ticket will come to you.
What is the new ticketing system of railway?
Northern Railway has named this system as M-UTS (Mobile Unreserved Ticketing System). It is a mobile ticketing machine, which is exactly like a ticket machine running in roadways buses. There is no need for any wire and it can be easily taken on the platform.
Railway workers will issue tickets on the platform itself through this machine. Passengers can take tickets standing there. This will facilitate payment in both cash and UPI. This system will be especially beneficial for passengers who have to travel immediately and do not want to waste time in the counter.

Which stations are starting this facility?
Northern Railway has launched M-UTS at four major stations in the first phase.
- Charbagh railway station of Lucknow
- Ayodhya railway station
- Varanasi railway station
- Prayagraj junction
10-10 M-UTS machines will be provided at Charbagh, Ayodhya and Varanasi stations, while 5 machines will be installed at Prayagraj Junction. That is, this scheme will start with a total of 35 machines.
How to get a ticket?
