Varun Dhawan Praises ‘Hanuman Ansh’, Recalls Childhood Connection With Lord Hanuman

Actor Varun Dhawan has praised ‘Hanuman Ansh’ after watching the film in a theatre with his mother, describing the experience as “divine” and encouraging audiences to watch it with their loved ones.

Taking to his Instagram Story, Varun said he had an “amazing experience” watching the film with his mother and urged people to watch it with their parents, children, friends and family.

“Please visit the theatre and watch Hanuman Ansh. I just went with my mom and it was an amazing experience. Go with your parents, kids, friends and family. I highly recommend this film to everyone,” he said.

The ‘Student of the Year’ actor also clarified that his appreciation was entirely voluntary, saying that nobody had approached him or asked him to promote the film.

“I have had a connection with Lord Hanuman since childhood. But this film is something else. This is a purely made film. Actually, I wouldn’t even call it a film — it’s something divine,” Varun said.

He further praised the performances and direction, singling out actor Shobhinaw Satyaa and director Vishal Chaturvedi.

“Shobhinaw Satyaa ji is brilliant in the movie. What a performance,” he said, while praising Chaturvedi’s direction as “brilliant stuff”.

Varun’s appreciation comes amid praise for the film from several other personalities, including Aditya Dhar, Madhur Bhandarkar and Kangana Ranaut.

Directed and produced by Vishal Chaturvedi under the banner of Swambhu Media Network, ‘Hanuman Ansh’ is based on his book ‘Divine Detour: That Changed My Life’, which chronicles the life of Neem Karoli Baba. The film stars Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand in the lead roles.
