Mary Kom is now a Bigg Boss contestant. In the 20th season of the popular reality show, the five-time World Champion signed up to be locked inside the house for the next 105 episodes. Mary doesn’t need an introduction, but her fellow contestants definitely need to prepare for her powerful ‘knockouts’. During the Bigg Boss 20 premiere episode, Mary’s friend and global superstar Priyanka Chopra sent a special message for her. Priyanka played the titular role in Mary Kom’s biopic. Priyanka sent a video for Mary before she entered the house. The actress wished the Olympic boxer good luck for her journey in Bigg Boss 20. Chopra further warned the other contestants to beware of her ‘knockouts’. Ever since they worked together on Mary Kom, Priyanka and Mary have been close friends.
What did Priyanka Chopra say about Mary Kom?
Previously, Priyanka praised Mary for being the pride of the nation. At the trailer launch of the biopic, Chopra told reporters, “I think you can’t compare Mary Kom with Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. For the first time a film has been mad on life of a female athlete. It is disrespectful to say it is a trend of sports biopic film. Mary Kom is the pride of our nation.”
She also said, “It is the most hardest film of my career. To bring her (Mary Kom’s) personality on screen was the hardest part. To bring the part of a fighter, a homemaker, and a mother was a challenge. She comes from a small town farmer’s family. Sports, in itself is a difficult thing in India, but she did it.”
