Actress Ishita Dutta has revealed that she was pregnant with her first child, son Vaayu, while shooting for her upcoming drama film ‘Ghamasaan’, making the project’s release particularly emotional for her.
Ishita shared a heartfelt note on Instagram on Sunday, reflecting on her experience of working on the film and thanking the team for making the journey special.
Revealing the personal connection she has with the project, Ishita wrote that she was pregnant while filming ‘Ghamasaan’ and said finally seeing the film release after several years feels “incredibly special and emotional”.
She expressed gratitude to director Tigmanshu Dhulia and the film’s team for giving her the opportunity to be part of what she described as a special cinematic world. Ishita also recalled the challenges of shooting at difficult locations and under demanding conditions, saying the entire team worked together to create something special.
The actress praised her co-stars Pratik Gandhi and Arshad Warsi. She described working with Gandhi as an “absolute pleasure” and praised his effortless acting. Ishita also said she had been a longtime fan of Warsi and called his performance in the film “fabulous”.
‘Ghamasaan’ is backed by Jyoti Deshpande of Jio Studios, along with Piiyush Singh, Abhayanand Singh, Saurabh Gupta and Ashwini Chaudhary of Golden Ratio Films, and Miten Shah of Yaelstar Films.
The film is expected to premiere on ZEE5 on September 11. It has previously been screened at film festivals including the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, Cinevesture International Film Festival and Chicago South Asian Film Festival.
