Punjabi singer-actor Parmish Verma has shared a message about keeping negativity out of his life, days after publicly confirming his divorce from wife Geet Grewal.
The “Gaal Ni Kadni” singer took to Instagram to share pictures from his father’s birthday celebration, expressing his admiration for his parents and family.
Alongside the photographs, Parmish wrote, “Negativity di thaan Zindagi ch Zero, Ni main kisse da ni fan, Mera Bapu mera Hero” — saying there was “zero space for negativity” in his life and describing his father as his hero.
The images show Parmish with his father, mother and brother Sukhan Verma. In one photograph, he is seen feeding cake to his father, while other pictures capture family moments with his parents.
The post came a day after Parmish confirmed his divorce from Geet Grewal in a social media statement. He also acknowledged that there is currently another woman in his life.
His clarification followed weeks of social media speculation and trolling over his alleged relationship with actress and model Harman Brar, along with claims that he had been unfaithful to Geet.
Addressing the criticism, Parmish said being a man had made him a “convenient psychological scapegoat” and that he had faced his own struggles and consequences without seeking sympathy.
He also said masculinity meant respecting his former wife and the woman currently in his life, while rejecting what he described as bitterness and mob-driven narratives.
“I know what I am. I would rather be hated for standing upright than applauded for crawling with the crowd. I’m proud of the man I became,” he said.
Parmish and Geet had announced their separation after being married for several years, with the singer-actor asking people to respect their privacy.
