Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 20 is just one day away from its grand premiere. The reality show, which has the Tathastu theme this year, will stream at 9 pm on JioHotstar on September 6. A few days ago, the makers unveiled visually appealing glimpses of the BB 20 house, which has vibrant coloured interiors. Ahead of its grand premiere, several popular celebrity names are being speculated as contestants. Television actress Mahhi Vij is one of them. She rose to fame in the TV industry with Laagi Tujhse Lagan. What else has she worked on? Here’s all you need to know about her.

Born on April 1, 1982, in New Delhi, reportedly shifted base to Mumbai when she was just 17. The actress is rumoured to have started her career in modelling first before transitioning into acting. She made her acting debut in the television industry with a show called Akela, where she played the character of Meghna. Later, she bagged a lead role in Kaisi Laagi Lagan, which aired on Sahara One.

However, the actress’ breakthrough show turned out to be Laagi Tujhse Lagan, in which she was seen as Nakusha, who is forced to hide her beauty. She starred opposite Mishal Raheja in the show that aired on Colors TV from 2009 to 2012. Besides doing fiction projects, the 44-year-old actress tapped into reality shows with her participation in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4.
That’s not all; after doing Jhalak, Mahhi worked on Nach Baliye 5 with her estranged partner Jay Bhanushali. They won the fifth season of the dance reality show. Apart from these projects, she faced her fears and performed daredevil stunts in Khatron Ke Khiladi 7, hosted by Arjun Kapoor.
Most recently, she played a pivotal role in Seher – Hone Ko Hai. The actress essayed the character of Kausar Baig in the Colors TV show. Co-starring Parth Samthaan, it premiered on December 2, 2025, and is currently on air.

On the personal front, Mahhi got married to TV actor Jay on February 11, 2011. Six years into their marital life, they became parents to their foster children – Rajveer and Khushi. And later, in 2019, the duo welcomed their first biological child – daughter Tara. Earlier this year, officially announced their separation via a joint statement.
