Ihave spent the better part of the last year trying to figure out why I like the Google Pixel 10 Pro so much.
That probably sounds strange coming from someone who can give you a fairly long list of things I dislike about it.
The battery makes me nervous every time I leave home for an entire day. It gets warm faster than a pan that’s on the stove. Charging feels painfully slow after using phones from brands such as OPPO, Vivo, OnePlus, and more. The Tensor G5 isn’t going to win any performance contests either, and even Google’s once-unquestionable camera advantage isn’t quite what it used to be.
Yet I used the Pixel 10 Pro as my primary phone for almost a year.
I only stopped on August 1 because I needed to move to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra for a review. Even then, it didn’t feel like I’d finally escaped the Pixel. If anything, part of me was already thinking about moving back once I was done with the Fold.
That is what makes this phone so difficult to review. The Pixel 10 Pro isn’t exceptional in many of the areas where modern flagships compete the hardest. Somehow, though, it has been one of the easiest phones for me to live with.
