The Kia Sorento is finally on sale in India. . The South Korean automaker has launched the Sorento SUV lineup in seven trim levels – HTE, THE (O), HTK, HTK (A), HTX, HTX (A) and Black-line – with prices ranging from Rs 27.99 lakh to Rs 40.19 lakh. The mentioned prices are introductory and ex-showroom, India. At this price point, the new Kia 7-seater SUV goes against the Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tayron, Jeep Meridian and Toyota Fortuner.

Kia Sorento Engine & Gearbox
The Sorento is offered with two powertrain options – diesel and strong hybrid. The diesel version is powered by a 2.2-litre engine, paired with an 8-speed DCT automatic gearbox. This engine produces a maximum power of 193bhp and 442Nm of torque.
The Kia Sorento hybrid features a 1.6-litre petrol hybrid powertrain, where petrol engine delivers 180bhp and 265Nm of torque and an electric motor generates 65bhp and 264Nm. The hybrid setup is available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
Both powertrains are available with front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) options. The SUV offers four drive modes – Normal, Eco, Sport and Smart, and three terrain modes – Snow, Sand and Mud.
Colour Options
Kia is offering the new 7-seater SUV in eight colour options: Ivory Silver Gloss, Matte Graphite, Aurora Black Pearl, Pewter Olive, Red, Imperial Blue, Glacier White Pearl and Gravity Grey.

Dimensions & Seating Options
The new Kia 7-seater SUV measures 4,815mm in length, and comes in both 6 and 7-seat configuration options, depending on the variant. The 6-seater version offers captain chairs in the second row, whereas the 7-seater variant features a 60:40 split-folding three-seat bench in the middle row and 50:50 split-folding seats in the third row. For easier access to the third row, the SUV gets a one-touch slide-and-fold function.
