Neeti Mohan Says ‘Maahiya’ Celebrates Blossoming Love and the Woman at its Heart

Playback singer Neeti Mohan has opened up about her latest song ‘Maahiya’ from the upcoming streaming series ‘The Revolutionaries’, describing the track as a celebration of blossoming romance and the woman at the centre of the love story.

‘Maahiya’ captures the growing bond between Sachindra Nath Sanyal, played by Rohit Saraf, and Pratibha Lahiri, portrayed by Pratibha Ranta. The romantic track explores the joy of finding someone who becomes deeply important to you.

Composed by Akashdeep Sengupta, the song has been sung by Neeti Mohan and Tushar Joshi, with lyrics by Tolia Lavraj Singh and Gaurab Chakraborty.

Talking about the song, Neeti said she was drawn to the warmth conveyed through its melody and lyrics.

“‘Maahiya’ is such a beautiful and soothing song, and I really loved the warmth that comes through in its melody and lyrics,” she said.

The singer particularly highlighted how the song celebrates the woman loved by its protagonist, placing her at the centre of his emotions and expressing how much she means to him.

“What I particularly love is the way the song celebrates the woman he loves, making her the centre of every emotion and finding a beautiful way to tell her that she means everything to him,” Neeti said.

She added that the song has a pure and effortless quality and said she and Tushar Joshi enjoyed bringing its emotional essence to life.

“I hope listeners enjoy its soft, romantic energy and find their own beautiful moments of love in it,” she added.

The song serves as an ode to the woman at the heart of the story, with its lyrics repeatedly returning to the idea of her being everything to the person who loves her. Its intimate and uplifting soundscape keeps the romantic emotion at the forefront.
