Mrunal Jain On Playing Lord Krishna

During a candid chat with us, Mrunal Jain shared his feelings after playing the role of Lord Krishna in his first show, Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki. He opened up about the Janmashtami celebration this year. The actor said, ” has always been special. For the last four years, it has been even more special because my kid celebrates it, and I look forward to him enjoying the small bits of Kanha, which I have already played in my career. I see all those mischevious things that he does. Your kid makes the festivals special for you.”

While speaking about the feeling and changes he witnessed in himself after playing the role of Shri Krishna, Mrunal said, “The feeling was incredible. We start everything with the blessings of the God and our parents. When I got a call to play Lord Krishna, I could not be more blessed than playing such an important part and being part of an epic. Of course, I went to my temple and prayed. When I wore the outfit for my character, Krishna, I got that divine feeling and a sense of responsibility. I became more aware of everything. It changed me as a person. The aura changes after wearing Krishna’s outfit. It gives a divine feeling.”

Mrunal Jain Says ‘Krishna’s Character Changed Me As A Person’

Mrunal Jain also confessed that he changed as a person after playing the role of Krishna. He explained, “I have always been very religious. I was born into a Jain family. So, I never eat onion, garlic and other stuff. I am already into that ritual of jainism. When I stepped into the role of Krishna, a lot of things were aligned with me. I never had thought that I would get a chance to be a part of this epic. Learning the shloks, Mahabharat gatha and meditation changed my life. There is so much power to meditation. That changed me as a person. It brought more spirituality and positivity into my life.”

Mrunal Jain thanked producer Ekta Kapoor for considering him for the role of Lord Krishna. He said that she is the best producer in the TV industry. When asked if he ever witnessed anything strange in his life while playing Krishna’s role, the Uttaran star said, “I felt only at one place. When the show ended abruptly, within 10 days, I got a call for Bandini, a show from Balaji. I got the blessings of Lord Krishna as I immediately got my second show. The miracles do happen.”

The TV actor further mentioned that people from Tier 2 cities still recognise him as Lord Krishna. He said, “It’s been almost 18 years that I played Krishna. I definitely feel there is some shadow of Krishna still around me.”

Importance Of Krishna In Contemporary Life

When asked about the importance of Lord Krishna in contemporary life, Mrunal Jain said, “The thoughts are very clear with Shri Krishna’s qualities. People still worship and believe in the path that he had followed. Shri Krishna was the main idol of Mahabharat. Now, millennials and Gen-Z know what Shri Krishna was. That’s the impact that God has on the previous as well as the coming generation. People know him. The impact is never going to change. The belief is always going to be there.”

While concluding his chat with us, Mrunal revealed that his son dressed as Krishna yesterday and is celebrating Janmashtami with him today.

We at Zoom/Telly Talk India wish our readers happy Janmashtami!
