While Aditya revealed that he pays for his own and Anushka’s expenses and that their new home was purchased with their own money, Anushka admitted that such assumptions do bother her. In fact, the actor said she gets particularly protective of Aditya when people make claims about his financial dependence on her family.

Anushka Ranjan and Aditya Seal opened up about the assumptions surrounding their marriage and finances during their appearance on Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi’s Double Date. The couple spoke candidly about how people often assume that Anushka’s family financially supports Aditya because of the difference in their family backgrounds.
Addressing the misconception, Anushka revealed that she has come across such comments online as well as heard them from people in their personal circles.
“Ek misconception hota hai kabhi kabhi, and I read this online sometimes, and I’ve heard amongst friends and family that ‘Ranjan hain na kar lenge!’” she said. However, Anushka was quick to clarify that the reality is quite different. With her trademark humour, she added, “Ranjan ne thodi hi pala hai Seal ko, oopar se ye Seal mujhe paal raha hai.”
She further explained that she has not been working regularly during her pregnancy, apart from occasional brand shoots. “It’s been a year I am pregnant, I am not going out and working, kuch brand shoot aa jate hain,” she said.
Aditya Seal Clarifies Who Pays Their Expenses
Aditya Seal also addressed the perception that he depends financially on Anushka or her family. The actor made it clear that his personal expenses, as well as what he spends on Anushka, come from his own earnings.
He also revealed that the couple’s recently purchased house was not funded or gifted by Anushka’s family. According to Aditya, the property was bought with their own money, despite assumptions that her family must have contributed because of their financial background.
While such speculation may be common, Aditya said he does not allow it to affect him. The actor maintained that he knows where his money comes from and does not feel the need to constantly explain himself to people who choose to make assumptions about his life.

While Aditya appears more comfortable ignoring outside opinions, Anushka is more vocal when she feels that someone is unfairly judging him.
