The bullet train station, which is going to be built soon in Surat, is going to give a new dimension to the connectivity and development of the city. This station is specially designed keeping in mind the convenience and comfort of the passengers. The interiors of the station will be calm and attractive, where natural lights and open ventilation from the skylight will give a pleasant environment to the passengers.

Modern facilities for passengers

In view of the needs of passengers in the bullet train station, facilities like waiting lounge, nursery, toilets, retail outlets are being provided. Lifts and escalators will be installed at every level to move comfortably. Taking special care of the elderly, disabled and young children, special signboards, information giving information and public announcement systems are being installed so that the passengers do not face any problem anywhere.

Multi-model connectivity

This station will not be limited to bullet train only, but will also be connected to other transport means in the vicinity. A multi-model integration plan has been prepared in collaboration with Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) and Surat Urban Development Authority (SUDA). With this, passengers will be able to change the journey in metro, bus, taxi, auto and other means. This will save time and the journey will become even more comfortable.

Green and Sustainable Design

Rainwater harvesting, low-flow sanitary fittings, eco-friendly paints have been used to make the station environmentally friendly. Skylight and wide openings will provide enough light and air during the day, which will reduce power consumption. The design of the station is also inspired by the identity of Surat.

Project progression

  • 17 River Bridge, 5 PSC and 9 Steel Bridge ready
  • More than 4 lakh noise barrier installed in 210 km area
  • 210 km track bed work completed
  • More than 2100 Ohe Mast Install, 52 km main line cover
  • Work on 7 hill tunnels continues in Palghar district
  • 5 km of excavation from 21 km tunnel between BKC to Shilfata
  • Work continues at rolling stock depot in Surat and Ahmedabad
