Avengers: Doomsday art director Chris Peters joins Akshay Kumar’s Samuk

Akshay Kumar’s alien thriller, Samuk, has added another international name to its technical crew. Chris Peters, who has worked as an art director on Marvel Studios’ upcoming film  , has joined director Kanishk Varma’s movie that, per the makers, ‘combines military realism, survival horror, and alien mythology’.

The film is currently being shot in Cardiff, Wales. As one of Hindi cinema’s rare alien thrillers, Samuk demanded a visually immersive world. Sources revealed that producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah and the director felt Peters would be the right person to design its on-screen universe.

A source close to the production told mid-day, “Samuk is being mounted on a big scale. Chris’s experience with large-scale international productions makes him a natural fit. The production design is integral to making the audience believe in this world. The team will shoot for the next two months in the UK.”

Peters joins an international crew that includes Oscar-nominated creature effects designer Alec Gillis, who is designing Samuk’s , and British action director Luke Tumber.
