Bigg Boss September 6 Premiere: Mohanlal, Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeep To Return With New Seasons On The Same Day

Bigg Boss fans across South India are in for treat, as the show will get a simultaneous launch – the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam editions begin their new seasons on September 6, 2026. Ahead of the launch, JioStar has brought together Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeepa and Mohanlal in a new promo celebrating the four regional versions of the popular reality franchise. The promo gives fans a glimpse of the four hosts sharing the screen while showing the cultural flavours of the respective markets. With Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss Hindi 20 also premiering on the same day, September 6 is shaping up to be a big day for the franchise.

Mohanlal, Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna And Kichcha Sudeepa Come Together

JioStar has released a new promotional video featuring , Kichcha Sudeep and   who host the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam editions of Bigg Boss respectively. The four stars come together ahead of the simultaneous launch of the regional seasons on September 6. Bigg Boss Tamil 10, Bigg Boss Telugu 10, Bigg Boss Kannada 13 and Bigg Boss Malayalam 8 will premiere simultaneously on September 6. The four editions will continue to have their own contestants, stories and regional identities while airing through their respective JioStar television channels and JioHotstar.

The promo plays around with the cultural identities of the four markets, with the hosts getting involved in a light-hearted exchange centred on food from their respective states. The playful concept allows each star’s personality to come through while bringing together four major fan bases.

Krishnan Kutty, Head, Entertainment (South), JioStar, said the four hosts have distinct relationships with their audiences and that the promo was designed to show their individual personalities while celebrating the cultures of South India.

Bigg Boss Seasons Set For Simultaneous Premiere

The simultaneous launch was announced by JioStar in July and marks a major crossover for the franchise across the South. It will bring new seasons of four regional editions to audiences on the same day. The Hindi edition will also join the September 6 launch. Bigg Boss Hindi 20, hosted by Salman Khan, is scheduled to premiere on the same date, bringing the number of language editions launching around the same time to five.

Meanwhile, Bigg Boss 3 Bangla, hosted by Sourav Ganguly, will begin airing daily from August 31 at 9:30 PM on Star Jalsha and JioHotstar. Salman Khan is returning to host Bigg Boss Hindi 20, with the latest promotional material teasing a new twist called ‘Extra Jeevan Daan’. The format change is expected to add another layer to the contestants’ strategies as the new season gets underway.
