Pukhraj Singh Gill’s Performance at Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament
Pukhraj Singh Gill is on the verge of securing an Asian Tour card for 2027, finishing tied for 19th at the Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament held on the Asian Development Tour (ADT).
As the winner of the IGPL Tour’s Order of Merit in India, he currently ranks ninth in the ADT Order of Merit, with one more event scheduled for November. The top ten players at the season’s end will earn cards for the Asian Tour next year. Last year, another standout from AM Green IGPL, Karandeep Kochhar, followed a similar path and is now competing on the Asian Tour.
Indian Golfers Shine at the Ciputra Tournament
Representing Unico Gurugram Tuskers in the AM Green IGPL League, Pukhraj Singh Gill recorded scores of 70-66-68-69, totaling 15-under par in this highly competitive event, which was ultimately won by Indonesia’s Kevin Akbar. Other Indian golfers also performed well, with Khalin Joshi, a recent champion on his home tour, finishing tied for 10th with scores of 66-68-69-67. Aman Raj ended up tied for 37th with rounds of 67-69-70-73, while Kartik Singh finished tied for 32nd with scores of 72-70-66-69. Unfortunately, N Arjun Prasad and Saarthak Chibber did not make the cut.
Kevin Akbar Claims Victory
Kevin Akbar, the tournament winner, took full advantage of his home course and local support, becoming the first Indonesian to win the Ciputra Golfpreneur Tournament. The 28-year-old finished with an impressive nine-under-par 63 at Damai Indah Golf (BSD Course) in south-west Jakarta, concluding the tournament at 25-under par, two strokes ahead of Singapore’s James Leow and Malaysia’s Khavish Varadan. Defending champion Matt Killen from England wrapped up his tournament with a 67, tying for fourth place alongside overnight leader Han, who shot a 68.
