Actress Avika Gor has opened up about her early elimination from ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 15’, saying the stunt-based reality show has once again taught her an important lesson about accepting situations beyond her control.
Reflecting on her journey, the ‘Balika Vadhu’ actress shared a lengthy note on Instagram about the emotions she experienced after leaving the show.
Avika said she often found herself watching the episodes and wondering whether she could have performed better had she been in the same situation. However, she acknowledged that watching from the comfort of home was very different from facing a stunt under pressure, fear and adrenaline.
She admitted that being eliminated early had been difficult to accept because she felt she still had more to give. At the same time, she said there was a difference between recognising that and continuously imagining an alternative outcome.
Avika revealed that ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ has always been personally significant to her. She was 21 when she first participated in the show, an experience that changed her understanding of herself and the person she wanted to become.
Returning to the show this time, she said, was partly about reconnecting with her younger self and completing something that had previously felt unfinished. Instead, the experience taught her a different lesson — how to accept things she cannot control.
The actress said she has always believed in hard work, preparation and pushing herself to achieve her goals. Accepting an ending she had not imagined therefore proved uncomfortable and “heart-wrenching”.
She said closure may not necessarily come from deciding whether she deserved to stay or could have performed better, but from accepting that the story ended differently from what she had imagined.
Avika added that she was grateful for the love, opportunities, people and experiences that had brought her to this point. She said she hoped that, with time, the disappointment would become something she could heal from rather than remain stuck in.
Avika’s journey on ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 15’ ended in the second week of the show. She was eliminated after competing against social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, in an elimination stunt. While Orry completed the task in 10 minutes, Avika took more than 13 minutes.
