Ravi Teja has made a strong comeback with Irumudi. The actor was hoping for a solid hit, but the film’s success has gone well beyond expectations.
It crossed the Rs 120 crore worldwide mark in its first week, and with the second weekend showing strong momentum, the film is now eyeing the Rs 200 crore milestone.
The success has also changed the equation for Ravi Teja. Even before the release of Irumudi, he had committed to a film with producer Dil Raju, which will be directed by Hasith Goli.
He has now officially signed another project with Vivek Athreya, to be produced by Laxman and Srini under Bridge Productions.
After these two films, Ravi Teja is expected to announce more projects.
Several producers are reportedly approaching the actor with lucrative remuneration offers, including deals that combine a fixed paycheck with a share in the profits.
Ravi Teja is currently meeting producers and listening to scripts, but apart from the two confirmed projects, he has not yet finalised any other deals.
Industry insiders expect a significant hike in his remuneration following the success of Irumudi. However, the actor is reportedly placing greater emphasis on content and quality rather than simply chasing bigger paychecks.
Ravi Teja appears to have realised that a hefty remuneration alone cannot guarantee success and that choosing the right scripts is crucial to delivering another blockbuster.
He is therefore said to be taking his time before locking his next projects.
