However, former India cricketer has come up with a name that could rule purest format game for a very long time in the future. The former wicketkeeper batter believes that can fill the void left by Virat Kohli in Test cricket.
Shubman Gill to fill Virat Kohli’s shoes?
In an conversation with Star Sports, Karim opined that Gill’s consistency in Test cricket shows his love towards the longest format. Notably, Gill who led India for the first time in Test cricket in a five-match series against England.
“He’s able to realize that he can add so much value as a Test batter. For him to compete and perform with that kind of consistency, it clearly shows that Shubman Gill relishes Test cricket. I think he can be a great ambassador after Virat Kohli,” said Saba Karim.
