Critics also worry that people may delay proper medical treatment. However, Bollywood actress believes it helps and prefers its holistic approach. Recently, she gave a major shoutout to a homeopathic doctor and said that the alternative medicine system has played an important role in her life. Her post on “health and mindful living,” however, was met with a barrage of criticism. She was slammed for promoting homeopathy despite being a public figure with millions of followers on social media.

Reacting to Shark Tank India judge Namita Thapar’s recent podcast on “homeopathy treating people, not conditions”, Anushka wrote on her Instagram Story, “Homeopathy has played an important role in my life, and Dr Rajan Sankaran has been a key part of that journey. I deeply value his insights on health and mindful living.”

After her post went viral, many raised doubts about its effectiveness.

An X user questioned, “More than 60M people follow you, Anushka, and you promote homeopathy on your story? I have seen many people who denied proper medicine and died using these things in the name of belief, and you promote that?”

“Sad to see a celebrity like Anushka Sharma, with such a massive following, promoting homeopathy despite the lack of credible scientific evidence for treating serious diseases. Funny how people don’t rush to homeopathic clinics when faced with cancer, heart attacks, or severe infections, they go to hospitals,” read a tweet.

Meanwhile, there were also a few who defended her, saying that Virat Kohli was right about how quickly women are targeted online. They added that Anushka was simply sharing a personal health experience and not promoting a corporate campaign. They felt that the strong online reaction to her statement was unnecessary and said that many people believe homeopathy has helped them.
