Earlier, Rahman had thanked Salman for being a part of his tribute to . “A heartfelt thank you to dear @BeingSalmanKhan for agreeing to being part of Asha Bhosle ji’s tribute music video. Your affection for Asha ji and your generosity in celebrating her extraordinary legacy make this moment incredibly special,” read his message. He had also expressed his gratitude to SRK for “graciously agreeing” to be part of the tribute music video.
About Asha Forever
Asha Forever was originally planned by Rahman as a tribute to the legendary singer while she was still alive. He had hoped to complete the project and present it to her. However, after her passing, the composer chose to move ahead with the tribute. He hopes to make it a grand celebration of her remarkable contribution to music.
Sharing a teaser, he had earlier spoken about the tribute. Rahman wrote, “This tribute began as a dream while ji was still with us. We had hoped she would witness the love and gratitude this project carries.”
Meanwhile, fans will soon get to hear the legendary singer’s final recorded film song. Ae Meri Zindagi, Tu Chupi Hai Kaha from Om Ka Hari is scheduled to release on September 8, which marks her birth anniversary. The song will serve as a special tribute to her enduring legacy and immense contribution to Indian music and cinema.
Asha Bhosle died on April 12, 2026, at the age of 92 after suffering multiple organ failure.
