PANAJI: St. Thomas Higher Secondary School, Aldona, produced a dominant performance to storm into the Zone I Under 19 Football Final after defeating Government Higher Secondary School Valpoi 4 0.
The match, organised by the Directorate of Sports, Panaji, saw St. Thomas HSS control proceedings and convert their opportunities to secure a convincing victory.
Jatin Kiro was the star of the contest, scoring a superb hat trick to put St. Thomas HSS firmly in control. His clinical finishing proved decisive as the Aldona side maintained its attacking momentum throughout the match.
Harsh Maldar also found the net, completing the four goal tally and sealing a comprehensive win for St. Thomas HSS.
The victory has earned the Aldona school a place in the Zone I Under 19 final, where they will face St. Francis Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Siolim.
The much anticipated final is scheduled to take place on September 1, 2026, at Quitula Ground. St. Thomas HSS Aldona will now look to carry its impressive semifinal form into the title clash and finish the tournament as Zone I champions.
