Anvay Dravid, Aaryavir Sehwag included in India’s U19 squad for Australia series

Legendary cricketers  youngerson Anvay and Virender Sehwag’s older son Aaryavir, have been included in India’s under-19 squad for the upcoming series against Australia.

Both teams will clash against each other for three one-day matches and two multi-day games. The series is scheduled to begin from September 18.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selection committee has picked separate squads for the one-day and multi-day matches. Lakshya Raichandani has been named as ‘s captain of the under-19 squad for the one-day series, whereas Yashbardhan Chauhan will lead the squad in the multi-day series.

 

 

Anvay and Aaryavir have been picked only for the ODI squad.

It is a maiden India call-up for 18-year-old Aaryavir, who is currently playing in the Delhi Premier League. Meanwhile, Anvay, the younger son of former India captain and coach Dravid, retained his place in the ODI squad after being part of the U-19 side that toured   last month. The 17-year-old wicketkeeper-batter had scored 14 and 87 in the two youth ODIs he played during the tour.

Rajkot will host the three one-day matches and the first multi-day match. The second multi-day game will be played in Ahmedabad.
