Suryakumar Yadav’s days as India’s T20I captain might be coming to an end as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to discuss his future in the top job ahead of the selection committee meeting to pick the squad for the tour of Ireland and England.
A new captain could be named for the twin assignment where the Men in Blue will play seven games with two games in Ireland (June 26 and 28) and five in England (July 1 to July 11).
The BCCI’s apex committee is set to meet tomorrow, with the T20I captaincy change set to be one of the topics of discussion. Sources have told Times Now that Shreyas Iyer, Tilak Varma, and Ishan Kishan are in contention for the role.
