Hyundai To Launch 26 Cars In India By 2030 – 2026 CEO Investor Day

Hyundai has announced an aggressive product roadmap for India at its 2026 CEO Investor Day. The company plans to introduce 26 new models and updates by 2030, including an all-new A-segment electric SUV and a new ICE-powered midsize SUV.

Both upcoming SUVs have already been , indicating that their development programmes are progressing. Hyundai’s extended-range electric vehicles announced at the event have not been confirmed for the Indian market.

New Small Electric SUV Launch In Q4 2026

Hyundai will commence its next product offensive with an all-new A-segment electric SUV in the fourth quarter of 2026. The model is being localised and developed specifically for Indian buyers.

Its compact dimensions should make it suitable for congested urban environments, while extensive localisation could allow Hyundai to price it competitively. The new model will sit below the Creta Electric and help Hyundai reach a much wider section of India’s electric-car market.

Bayon-Based Midsize SUV

Hyundai has also officially confirmed a new ICE-powered midsize SUV for India. Spy shots indicate that development is already underway, with test vehicles seen running under camouflage.

The upcoming SUV is expected to be based on the globally available Hyundai Bayon. However, the India-spec model could receive significant design, dimensional and equipment changes to suit local preferences. It will compete against models such as the Maruti Victoris and other similarly positioned SUVs.

Multiple powertrain options are expected, including petrol and factory-fitted CNG. A CNG version will allow Hyundai to compete directly with Maruti Suzuki’s expanding alternative-fuel portfolio. Details regarding engines, transmissions and its positioning relative to Creta are yet to be officially announced.

Production And Localisation Expansion

Hyundai plans to add 3.2 lakh units to its annual Indian manufacturing capacity by 2030. Its manufacturing facilities in India currently have a combined capacity of around 11 lakh vehicles annually.

The company is targeting 90% local content across its India-made vehicles by 2030. This localisation push will be supported by more than 1,400 domestic suppliers and over 900 local engineers.

India will continue to serve as one of Hyundai’s major global export hubs. Around 30% of its Indian production is expected to be exported to markets in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and South America by 2030.
